The city is so hot today it feels like my hair is about to catch fire.
There's few things that captivate me more than capturing the human figure. This is a small study with a live model in preparation for a larger painting. The quick sporadic line is all I can do to contain the energy in my sometimes Phantom hand, it want's to move as though it were playing a guitar solo.
This small 4" x 6" gouache piece found a good home and now resides on a wall somewhere in New York City.
There was an art show titled "12 Inches of Sin," and although my submissions weren't accepted I'm still very proud of these pieces. They highlight the diversity of my friends here in the City of Brotherly Love, and more specifically, a group of people that live, and in some cases, thrive on the margins of the mainstream. This is mostly by choice, but often times out of necessity.
